Focusing on the important things

This week, and in fact, last week, too, have not gone as I planned.  I'm not seeing the fruit from my energy - at least, not the fruit I wanted and expected.

But there has been a time of sewing and harvesting a bit in relationships - the fruit God has put in my way for this week.  I am seeking to focus on that fruit and give up my expectations and, well, more of my pride - ouch!  (Note the "more of my pride" comment  refers to a blog post not yet posted - like I said, my week is not going in the order I expected.)

The appearances I seek, that is, the impressions I make are not as important as the persons I encounter. I am holding to that priority and letting go of my other expectations.  I want to reflect Christ. I am praying for a peaceful demeanor; not a frantic, impatient, fidgety one that adds to stressful situations surrounding us.

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.

I feel ya, Sister!! Don't know your exact situation, but I can relate with things not going the way you planned. I'm reading an awesome book right now that I can share with you when I'm done (you'll have to excuse the pencil highlighting). I plan to post on what I'm learning.

Personally, I can't see you as "fidgety", "frantic" or "impatient". You always seem so calm and happy to me.

You have blessed and encouraged me again. =) One of the reasons I love you.
