I realize more and more that to expect my little girl to stay a little girl until she is old enough, to expect her to grow up to live a pure life, is asking her, advising her, begging her to swim upstream.

First, I have no clue where the above picture was taken.
I really like this post. Your thoughts mirror mine. We do try to shield our kids from so much of the evil in the world and from worldly influences. Still, those influences seem to find new ways into our homes despite our intentions. But I agree with the Focus on the Family article (thanks for sharing!) that THIS is the best time to address these topics, while our kids our still in our homes and we are training them.
What a great post...and how appropriate and how true! We are all reminded that we are imperfect but thank God not forgotten! Thanks for coming by my blog, it gave me a chance to come by and visit you!
